Nanny Leilei Cancer Treatment Fund

We have just learned that Nanny Leilei, the lead Nanny at our Siping Foster Care Center has been diagnosed with colon cancer. On Friday, August 27, 2010, she had surgery at the hospital in Siping. It is not clear at this time what her prognosis will be but we do know that she came through the surgery. Through the Center she does have some health insurance but it will only cover 20% of the costs. Her family has already put in over $5000 for the surgery. This is a large sum of money for us all but it is astronomical for her and her family. Now she is faced with the follow up Chemotherapy. This does not come cheap. The current estimate is that the six chemotherapy treatments will cost a minimum of $8000. Her family does not have the resources for this but she must have the treatments to live.She has devoted herself to the care and love of the children in the Center. Some of you have adopted some of these children. Some of you have provided support for the Center so she and the the other Nannies can care for the children. She has gone above and beyond what most of us would do for these children. It is now time for us to go above and beyond to help her.Please contribute what you can to provide her with the help she needs.
