Siping Center Repair and Expansion
The Siping Center is in need of repairs and expansion. Orphanages are contacting us everyday asking if we can help by taking more children who need more medical care and attention than the orphanage can provide. Sadly we must turn them down because we just don't have the room. We have walls and ceilings that must be repaired before winter comes (it gets down to 20 below zero) and we need more space to be able to care for more children.
To do this we need the following:
1. Repair the walls and ceilings that have suffered from the extreme conditions and poor construction. $1800
2. Add an additional 400 square feet to the Center. currently the office and storage areas are in the rooms with the children. This will create office and storage space that will free up exisiting space so we can care for an additional 4 to 5 children. $3200
3. We need to complete a terrace area so the children can be taken out side in good weather. This will give them a better way to let the children enjoy the sunshine rather than taking them downstairs to the outside. $1000
The nearby Changchun orphanage has over 200 children and many of them have special needs that they cannot care for. They call daily to ask for help. It is heartbreaking for Hannah to see children in need and not be able to help. With your help we can provide the necessary care for more of these children. With your help more of these children will be saved and have a chance to be adopted. I know it is difficult to relate to the needs of these children so far away but look at your own children and imagine them in need and no one to help.
